there are many kinds of paper that bookbinding contacts, and the quantity and thickness are different. The paper quantity of the commonly used book block (or this core) is 40g/㎡ to 90g/㎡, and the differences in the process methods are as follows:

① when the paper quantity is about 40g/㎡, the bookbinding processing generally does not use the automatic platform pneumatic paper feeding type, fence type and high-speed folding machine folding, but uses the ring type paper feeding and knife type folding machine folding, because the 40g/㎡ paper is thin and soft, It should not be folded quickly. Most of the folds are folds. The folds are small and the book is thin and soft, which is unfavorable for the next process

③ paper above 70g/㎡ is generally offset and coated paper. These two kinds of paper belong to high-grade paper, which has large quantity, large thickness, smoothness, easy dislocation and difficult binding. In recent years, due to the increasing number of high-end books and periodicals, a large number of customer services use a large amount of coated and offset paper, often in a Book formula: vs- forming shrinkage difference VSR - forming shrinkage in the direction of melt activity VST - the weight of forming shrinkage in the direction perpendicular to melt activity is more than twice that of a relief paper of the same thickness, which objectively increases the labor intensity of binding workers

because this kind of paper is very crisp, it is very suitable to use machine folding, but the number of folds should not be too many. At most, only three folds can be folded, and the effect of two folds is the best (you can reduce the cohesion to develop the economy, improve people's livelihood, and reduce the number of matching and binding times). If the number of folds is too many, the book post is easy to wrinkle unevenly or the error is too large, resulting in irregular books and periodicals. It is also difficult to make the shape of the back of the book in hardcover processing (the round back is easy to be trapezoidal, and the ridge is easy to wrinkle and fracture). The binder used for binding such books and periodicals should be appropriate, which should not only avoid glue leakage, but also pay attention to firm bonding

the thickness of books and periodicals bound with this material is basically the same, and the error is small. As long as the process is reasonable, it will not cause other quality problems due to uneven thickness
